Welcome to Choosr! Your privacy matters to us, and we want to be transparent about how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have.

1. Who We Are
We’re Choosr — a platform designed to help people discover and influence what the world thinks.
We’re based in Israel, and our service is available to users around the world. Choosr is currently operated by the team behind Choosr Ltd (registration pending).
2. What We Collect
When you use Choosr, we collect the following types of personal information:
• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Age or date of birth
• Gender
• Location data (e.g., IP address, GPS, or user input)
• Profile photo
• Social media handles (if you connect a social account)
• Your Choosrs – the content you create, vote on, or comment on
• Languages you speak
• Device and usage data (collected automatically via analytics tools)
If you sign in using Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your first name, last name, email, and profile photo from those services.
If you upload media (photos or videos), we moderate those uploads to keep the platform safe and respectful.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
• Create and manage your account
• Personalize your experience on Choosr
• Show you content that’s more relevant
• Analyze how people use Choosr so we can improve it
• Keep the platform safe through moderation and abuse detection
• Share aggregated results (e.g., how people voted)
• Train our AI systems to make Choosr smarter over time
We do not use your data for targeted ads or marketing campaigns.
4. Tools and Services We Use
To run Choosr, we use a few trusted partners and services:
• Firebase (for authentication, hosting, and app configuration)
• OpenAI & Together.ai (for AI features)
• AWS (for storage and infrastructure)
• Mixpanel & LogRocket (for analytics and debugging)
We only share your data with these providers for the purposes of operating and improving Choosr.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share your data with third parties, but only in these cases:
• With service providers who help us run the platform (e.g., moderation, analytics)
• If required by law or to respond to legal requests
•If we believe it’s necessary to protect Choosr or other users from harm
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your data. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Correct or update inaccurate information
• Delete your data or account
• Request a copy of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Opt out of marketing (we don’t send marketing messages now, but you can opt out in the future)
Some of these actions can be done directly in the app settings. Others can be requested by emailing privacy@choosr.co.
7. Data Storage and Protection
We take steps to protect your data, including:
• Secure cloud storage using trusted providers (like Firebase and AWS)
• Role-based access to limit who can see user data
Note: We don’t yet use encryption for data at rest or in transit, but this is on our roadmap.
We don’t currently have a formal data retention policy, but we aim to keep data only as long as needed to operate Choosr effectively.
8. Legal Compliance
We comply with:
• The Israeli Protection of Privacy Law
• The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU users
We do not knowingly collect data from users under the age of 13. If you’re under 13, please do not use Choosr.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know — either in the app, by email, or on our website.
